About Our Pastor
Visionary, Servant leader, but most importantly a “Women after God’s own heart, Reverend Dr. Laura Townsend-Isaiah was born and raised in Brooklyn New York.
Prior to pastoring Dr. Isaiah has served as Ministerial Assistant, and a host of other positions to include Youth Minister where she implemented youth ministry retreats, conferences, special events, and a Children’s church, during which time she witnessed great growth among the youth spiritually and the youth ministry numerically.
Called to do the work of an Evangelist, Dr. Isaiah founded Laura T. Isaiah Ministries & The Word Café” in 2010. This ministry was birth with a God-driven Mandate to Preach, Teach and Reach the World with the Word & the Love of God. Through our Evangelistic arm, we have been able to provide School supplies for children in Nigeria and Honduras, feed Seniors through our Fishes & Loaves feeding program and provide personal care packages and fresh meals for Women in Transition through our Lydia’s gift initiative.
With a heart to empower women, her Sister’s Connect Women’s ministry leadership team bring women together from all walks of life to inspire, uplift and support them by solely focusing on ministering to their issues and needs through the Word of God. We host Monthly Word Fellowships (the 3rd Saturday of each month) and an Annual Women’s Conference or Retreat.
Dr. Isaiah’s academic pursuits had led her to obtain the following: a BS in Business Management & Finance, a Master of Divinity degree and an earned Doctorate degree in Theology.
In January 2018 Dr. Isaiah began her next assignment as Pastor/Founder of Rhema Christian Center Church which was birthed with a mission to Make Disciples, Grow Disciples and Be Disciples.
